8 e 9 Settembre 2009: un incendio sicuramente doloso distrugge buona parte della meravigliosa macchia del Monte Serra vicino alla Verruca e a Caprona. Il fuoco arriva a circa 500 metri dalla mia abitazione.

8 and 9 September 2009: a forest fire, undoubtedly started on purpose, destroys the vast majority of the wonderful vegetation of Mt. Serra, near Caprona and La Verruca. The fire was stopped circa 500 yards from where I live.

The image itself if beautiful in all it’s power and colour, but the situation is heartbreaking. You looked to be really close!

Terrificante, queste sono cose che non dovrebbero mai accadere. Bisognerebbe dargli l’ergastolo a chi uccide la natura in questo modo. Immagino che avrete passato dei brutti momenti..
